This site is dedicated to the Patrons of Cybercafes looking for places to check their email while on the road or vacation or for local visitors looking to scan some photos or play Quake on a T1 network or simply to associate with other net people. This site is dedicated to excellence. Excellence in providing reliable information to its visitors.
We at The Cybercafe Search Engine are proud to be the source of information for cybercafe locations to most of the city guide sites on the web today. The Cybercafe Search Engine is a unique web publisher in the area of public internet access locations. Originally starting with a team of four individuals, it has built up to a group of over 50 employees that travel all over the world verifying the cybercafes that exist in the current database and identifying new cybercafes. Our efforts are funded via commercial license contracts for the highly reliable and accurate quality of the information we provide in one of the most dynamically changing industries of the online world. You will find other cybercafe indexes on the web, however, you may find many outdated listings or small indexes that started as a hobby and never gained dedicated fulfillment. You may find indexes targeted at allowing cybercafe owners to edit the realtime database - which inadvertantly have been edited by numerous non-cybercafe owners in hopes that one's personal website might get an extra hit a month. At The Cybercafe Search Engine, we list only cybercafes and only cybercafes that are currently in business.
Our staff are all regular patrons of cybercafes. Before starting this project, as patrons searching for public internet access, we had only the web resources available to us. Each site we relied upon seemed more reliable for listing cybercafes that were no longer in business than providing a dependable resource. It is easy to start a cybercafe list, get sidetracked, then forget about it altogether. That was the motivation for us to start a new resource, automate its integrity, and 'compete' enough with other cybercafe list sites to make sure that the service does justice to the patrons out there that need to check their email and get online whatever their needs may be.
This site is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by special robots that monitor the link integrity of any listing in the database. It even checks for email addresses that will bounce email back to the sender. The robot was developed onsite at Cybercaptive and is not at this time available to the public. For inquiries, send email robot@cybercaptive.com.
If a listing comes up in the warning area, it is verified by phone or email that day. Our regional editors will also travel to its location to determine its business status. Meanwhile, the listing is edited appropriately so that viewers will be forwarned. If the status is determined as no longer in business, the listing is removed from the index immediately.
